PiTech Master’s
Impact Studio
PiTech Impact Studio is Cornell Tech's practicum course dedicated to building technology in service of the public good. Working alongside nonprofits, city agencies, and social ventures, multidisciplinary teams of Master’s students spend the Spring semester addressing partners’ key challenges while expanding what's possible through technology to serve their partners' missions.
About PiTech Impact Studio
The Cornell Tech Public Interest Technology Impact Studio matches teams of students with nonprofits, government agencies, and/or social ventures to prototype interventions that leverage technology. The Studio is designed to give students the opportunity to produce positive change by applying relevant technical, analytical, strategic, research, and other skills to address a real-world challenge.
PiTech Impact Studio asks students to:
Confront strategic challenges through their own decision-making
Develop relationships with others in the public interest technology communities through guest lectures and throughout their project work
Grapple with day-to-day management challenges through discussions of the projects, course reading, and working hand-in-hand with social impact leaders
