Public Interest Technology (PiTech) Initiative Director of Programs and Partnerships, Cornell Tech

Kate is the Director of Programs and Partnerships for the Public Interest Technology (PiTech) Initiative at Cornell Tech. In this role, she leads efforts to strengthen Cornell Tech's collaborations with public sector organizations across New York City and helps cultivate the next generation of innovators and leaders dedicated to shaping technology for the public good.

Before joining Cornell Tech, Kate was Director of Programs and Partnerships at BetaNYC, a leading civic technology organization. Her background spans a range of mission-driven work, including serving as Impact Director for the pandemic preparedness campaign It Takes All of Us, conducting design research at Ikana Health Action Lab to develop digital tools for medical networking in low-income countries, and leading engagement efforts with early pioneers in environmental sensing and wearable technology.

Kate holds an MFA in Design for Social Innovation from the School of Visual Arts and a BA in Economics from Tufts University, where she also minored in Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies.
